About

A UK Chartered Electronics Engineer who retired from roles working in IT and Project Management in April 2025. I have a love for embedded systems, PIC micro controllers, Arduino, Raspberry.pi and free and open source software. Currently a proud user of Manjaro/GNU Linux

I am an infrequent poster on mastodon and you can see my posts there.

My workflow and software stack consists of the following brilliant FOSS applications.

  1. Arduino IDE
  2. KiCad EDA
  3. Pasmo Z80 compiler
  4. Cpanel web hosting
  5. FreeTube as a more privacy respecting Youtube Client
  6. KeePassXC Password Manager
  7. MPLab IDE – Although it doesn’t respect all 4 software freedoms, I don’t currently have another option to generate and simulate Microchip architecture

The equations used on the site are from the brilliant on-line LaTeX editor from online LaTeX editor

Schematics from May 2014 onwards have been created in KiCad EDA Design freeware version
